About me

“Moin” and welcome to my homepage.

At this point I would like to introduce myself.

“Dat lüttje Wicht” (little girl) in the photo, with the slightly grumpy look, that’s me. The optics of childhood have faded, but the look when I don't like something has remained. Likewise the memories, stories and images that have become associated with me over the course of my life. I'm Heike and I was born and raised in East Frisia. The coastal land on the edge of the North Sea, where a fresh sea wind always blows, is my homeland and my home.

In 2016 I left my homeland to watch my granddaughter grow up and moved to Lower Bavaria. Homesickness quickly set in and I started writing down little memories in my native language, Low German. This resulted in “van Wattlüü un Indioners.”

I have now returned to my homeland! After 8 years, homesickness has won and I enjoy the sea wind that now greets me every morning again.

Thank you for your interest!
Heike
