Esoteric Languages

My ancestors don`t speak english. Our language is a sacred gifft from our creator, and we are not to lose ist. It`s not just a language, its heritage, It only takes one generation for a people to lose who they are. We come into this word connected, our belly button reminds us of this. One day your going to be somebodies ancestor. The language is wakan (sacred). We use it to pray. We talk to the wamakaskan though spiritual communications. Some things are so sacred they must not said in english. Language must be taught with this in mind, as a religious requirement. Since early reservation days, non-natives were placed in charge of our education. Though a progress known as acculteration and assimilation- the eradication of our culture and identity. Our language was invaded, just as our lands were. We need to bring back our ways with the strength of its spiritual values. There is no stronger identity then a connection with your ancestors.
