 The world around mi

For the sake of the environment

"My eyes are closed. I hear the sound of the sea, how the waves break and slowly run towards the beach. The wet sand squeezes through my toes until the cold water gently laps my feet. I take a deep breath. It smells like the sea. I can taste it, feel it as the gentle breeze and plays with my hair.”

This is how my story of “a child of the sea” begins.

But the sea isn't what it used to be. I can't get a video of mountains of plastic pushing through the endless expanses of our oceans out of my head. At first I was stunned, which was then mixed with sadness. The image of the sea that has accompanied me since childhood is fading. But what can I do? I am only a single person and have neither power nor money to counteract this. As I searched helplessly for an answer, new words found their place on a white sheet of paper. A fairy tale was born. It was the fairy tale of the song of the earth and as I wrote it I realized that I can't change the big picture. But I have the opportunity to change something on a small scale. I can start with myself and do my part to ensure that the image of my sea does not only remain in my heart.

So I try to reduce my plastic consumption, look for new environmentally friendly alternatives, try to live more consciously and belong to the "flexigans". This means that I eat little meat and also use vegan products.

I would like to dedicate this page to our environment.
