As a child, I always hung on my father's every word when he talked about his sea voyages. That's how I became a part of his life, far from the mainland. The life of my family was closely linked to the sea and thus also shaped my life and my childhood.

We East Frisians are not only record holders when it comes to drinking tea, we also enjoy preparing it in a very specific way. For most of us it is an integral part of our everyday life and our way of life.
