Welcome or how we great each other in Eastfrisia , "Moin".
"Wattlüü" (Wadden people), a word born from an ancient language. A pseudonym for the inhabitants who live on the coast of the sea and are closely associated with the tides life. A people of fishermen and seafarers who braved the storms and followed the Call of the sea. They came back with stories of the hard work on board, pirates, sea monsters and told of foreign cultures.
The big times of herring fishing are gone and the moors that once surrounded the country have largely disappeared, and yet I feel the past of my East Frisian homeland in me. So I started to write down these stories, trying to capture and preserve the soul of my native country. Many questions arose that extend beyond the borders of my home country. Our world is full of color and mystery. Our past and present are the sculptors of the future. Knowledge and communication are valuable companions and so children's thoughts and voices from indigenous nations can also be found on these pages.
I would like to invite you to join me on this special journey.
