En Oostfrees vertellt- eine Ostfriesin erzählt- An East Frisian tells

Teatime

When the little tealight burns in the heart of the warmer and the hot tea flows silently into the porcelain cup, silence settles in. You can hear the faint crackling of the rock candy as it begins to burst beneath the hot liquid. Then the cream dives in, only to return a moment later as a delicate little cloud.

In East Frisia, teatime is the moment when the world stands still for a little while. This is the place for my deeply personal thoughts, for topics close to my heart, and for stories written by life itself. Be my guest and feel welcome to share them with me.

Farther than the horizon

Our life is like a ship sailing across the sea. Sometimes it chugs happily along, enjoying the calm waters, and sometimes it has to fight its way through heavy storms. This section is about the courage to keep a firm grip on the rudder, and about the sources of strength that give us support and peace in our everyday lives.

Anchorages and Lighthouse beam

This is about my own personal sources of strength in everyday life. They are the little aids, signposts, and tools that steady me even during stormy times, make me laugh, and help me keep a firm grip on the helm.

The journey begins!
