Where the seewind is at Home
Three years have passed since I left Bavaria and returned to the place where my heart has always been at home. Homesickness won, and today I can truly say: it was a good decision to be so close to my homeland again. Of course, I miss my son and my granddaughter in the south immensely, but every time I stand by the sea or drive along the dike, I send my thoughts to them with the sea wind. Now I am back here, enjoying each new day connected with the wind that creeps around the houses. When I travel through the East Frisian landscape today, I experience it like a great adventure. I am discovering my own homeland all over again – with deep joy in my heart and through the eyes of someone who has come home. I enjoy the endless expanse, the familiar rustling of the sea, and the feeling of finally having arrived again. Come with me on my journey through a land that reminds me every single day of where my home is.
