as the seasons change

The awakening of spring, a warm summer rain, colorful leaves beneath my feet, or snow blanketing everything in white—life follows the rhythm of the seasons. Our culture and the customs we practice accompany us through this constant seasonal cycle. Join us on a journey through the year and discover the festivals we celebrate and hold close to our hearts.

Spring

Nature awakens and the first flowers bloom. The frost loses its strength and the mantle of white snow crystals leaves the land. Under the spring moon, the fires light up the night and welcome the fertile time.

Summer

The sun reaches its highest point and bathes the land in a golden light. The days are long, the evenings warm, and the busy rush of the harvest season begins in the fields. It is a time of abundance, where we enjoy life outdoors and gather precious summer moments in our hearts.

Autumn

As the winds grow colder, nature paints the land in warm colors. The colorful autumn leaves rustle under our feet, and with the early darkness, the cozy time of lights begins. Under the autumn moon, children walk from house to house, bringing old customs to life and filling our hearts with spooky, beautiful stories.

Winter

The year draws to a close and a deep stillness settles over the land. When frost enchants the window panes and the cold wind howls around the house, we make ourselves truly comfortable inside with a hot cup of East Frisian tea. It is a time of reflection, of familiar family traditions, and of warming lights in the darkness.
